Vaughn had never truly been a stout man with a dark demeanor, never the oh so mysterious and eluding sort. It just wasn't in his deck of cards. Perhaps, instead, the sort that showed you his hand of cards willingly, but might have an extra up his sleeve..
The Librarian started as a farm boy in Georgia, where his father worked as a lumber man and instead of it being a simple job, the man carried his axe with pride and so did his first four boys, but here began the tale of the fifth son who preferred the company of his books over the fresh cut of wood.
The boy held an element in which his brothers, nor the rest of his family quite understood and claimed it as weakness.
Where it all truly began, was the befriending of a girl who later was to become a witch and his greatest enemy.
There were dark times in the family and it's not till later that Vaughn finds out that his own father had been messing around with his friends mother and that his own mother had known all along and it was the reason for why she was always so silent and kept to herself. Their love had dispersed years somewhere after their fourth child and Vaughn had been the last chance at renewing that love, but it hadn't worked.
The girl had appeared when things had become rocky in his family and through it they'd gotten close. It was only her and her mother and he hadn't an idea that she'd one day mature into a witch and he wasn't suppose to know until he'd been there in the first beginning of her power.
They'd been best friends..
but all good things come to an end..

Vaughn became heavily introduced to the supernatural world through his teen years all through into adulthood. He's been cursed, bitten by vampires and nearly sucked dry, possessed, come face to face with angels and demons. For a record of time, he was an apprentice to a man who practiced wizardry and this was the time in which he gained most of those experiences, when the awkward boy he was, was always in the wrong place and the wrong time. Over time, he of course had gotten better and more adept under the teachings of his mentor and perfected his grasp of magic.
So many times he's nearly faced death, but death got it's clutches on his teacher first and left him in possession to the old mans library. At first, he hadn't an idea what to do with it or himself, because there came a rough period where he didn't want to continue in this path and wanted to flee back to a more human life, but he quickly realized that the human world had no place for him anymore. This was who he was always supposed to be..

She was ultimately his first romantic love, though it hadn't been an outward sort of relationship..or even a normal one at that. On a level, they had understood each other and helped each other and somewhere in that mess, they'd shared some nights. However, as it stood, she was a werewolf and the alpha of her pack disapproved strongly of them, or of any sort of other supernaturals and this included a certain Librarian. He had known too much and attracted too much 'danger' to the pack, though this was never proven considering all that ailed them had never anything to do with him until he had involved himself willingly to gain their trust, but this fell through. The next course of plan was desperate and proved to Vaughn it wasn't meant.
Arcadae, in a passion of desperation and selfishness,
bit Vaughn and burdened him with the curse of wolf....
He comes and goes and the changes are always painful,
but he took them in stride because now it was a part of him.
Arcadae was later killed in a mutt fight and any connection to pack is severed even when the Alpha opted to take him in pack because as pack law, he was bitten by a pack wolf and therefore belonged to pack, but Vaughn declines and leaves.

There's a story that always went untold between him and the witch, the one who first involved him into the madness that was the supernatural world. She was the one he'd loved first as his best friend and the two had the deepest connection, but that was severed long ago and leaves her hot on his trail in a now more hate/love relationship, where most see nothing but enemies, but under it all, it's hard to truly tell if this Witch still loved the Librarian or if she just wanted to be the one to kill him...
She's made a mess of his life, a serpent in the shadows, making him question all that he knows because when he knows one thing, it turns to be false and he wonders where the lies began and ended. Or if anything had been a lie at all; if it all had been mirages created in her sick ploy to get what she wanted.
"You knew what he did and you kept it from me!"
"I was trying to protect you.." He told her..
"Liar." She said, tone cold..
"It is not me who lies.."

The man was off his rocker, a wild spirit and twisted Vaughn's life this way and that til the boy wouldn't know up from down. He'd found Vaughn's broken body after the ordeal with the Witch, for which called for his presence in the first place, and taking pity on the boy with what little life clung to him, Leon took Vaughn in and saved him.
The man had a hidden past, much that Vaughn still does not know about. He'd been adept in magic and even practised alchemy and went to take on Vaughn as his apprentice, showing the boy all that was the Otherworld. Leon had always had a mysterious element to him and his actions, driving Vaughn nuts when he wouldn't explain much, but instead allow the young man to see things at his own perspective, under learning purposes, of course.
He has shaped Vaughn into the man he is today.

In the course of a night, five individuals came to him, seeking his assistance and from there they added a sixth member to their team.
They gained a leader.
The five misfits hadn't much to go on anymore and The Librarian had been their last chance and came through he did. Now they reside in the Library with him.
Two supernatural hunters, a witch, a mutant and one vampire. They are the pack Vaughn never had in his sights before, but like one, they strive together to make it.

--Vaughn is tall and slender at the waist, but had broad shoulders and an overall muscular form from keeping care of his body and the added werewolf metabolism.
Dark hair was kept shorter these days, styled but held some curls when left without product.
Blue eyes were captivating in the wisdom, experience and the calmness held in them.
Thick stubble adorned his strong jaw, the hair of his upper lip thicker now in a moustache, mouth a usual straight line, but the hints of a smile pronounced his dimples.
-- He dressed professionally, three piece suits that made him look like your college professor and use to wear his glasses to read better when he often strained his eyes in trying to read without them when he forgot them or they got broken somehow like always.. but since the bite, his vision has been better, but he still occasionally carries them on him out of habit.
He's no alcoholic, either, but fine wine and whiskey always have a home in his desk in his study. A "tension breaker" he calls it when offering to loosen another person and relax them if his calm deep voice and gentle sort of behavior didn't work.

Vaughn does not come off the type to bare tattoos, but under clothing, all over his back are what appears a mix of runes markings that held meaning in a language only known to him.
His mentor had a specialty in rebranding illusional magik and mixed in is chaotic magik and Sarsks Magik.
Some markings aren't even inscribed in ink but indents of the skin, known as more defined scars, mostly along the back of his neck; add ons without ink but still able to procure the ability needed..
--Vaughn is a kind and caring man, not a very untrustworthy sort right off the bat, but more or less that kind of guy you want to trust because he's truthful and not the deceiving kind. However, Vaughn knows all too well the good from the bad and when he has to put masks in places to either protect himself or others.
--At the moment, the man has no love interest. What he has with the Witch is a very complicated matter and in no way sexual, therefore it left Vaughn in the open.
He's not quite the flingy kind of guy, however. A relationship needs to be something worthwhile and not a quick fuck, but he is devious in his ways in which this meant, the being didn't have to bare a female body..
( Pansexual )
--He's sired no offspring.
-- His full name is Vaughn William Aeckerman - His signature often V.W.A in cursive.
--The man appeared stuck with his head in a book, but in a time of need, he's fit for a real fight, resourceful and cunning and he may have some tricks up his sleeves as mentioned before. And there's even the added strength of a werewolf to that mix.
--The librarian's age is much left to the unknown. He appears a man in his mid to late thirties and perhaps that is just his age, but he could be much older, because due to the curse of a werewolf's bite, it's slowed his aging down significantly, but only the select two people have an indication as to when he was born and one of them is dead and the other has disappeared more recently. Most play it safe to pin him for his thirties though, considering his appearance.
